Aging in Place is a growing movement. Many seniors prefer and demand to age in their family home. The challenge is that many of them need some help with the activities of daily living – showering, meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping. Home Instead Norwell’s Director of Community Outreach Jay Tolman outlines some of the services that meet this preference.

Jay has been with Home Instead 5 ½ years and also has more than 20 years of experience as a regional manager in the home health and hospice electronic medical records software industry.

Some of the topics that Jay addresses include –

• Explain services that a non-medical home care agency provides.
• Questions families should ask as they choose a home care provider.
• What is the process of finding and hiring your caregiver?
• What is the biggest challenge facing family caregivers?
• Senior day program are a new option. What does that entail.
