The Front Street Art Gallery in Scituate is pleased to present Richard Foley’s solo show Wednesday, July 22 through Sunday, August 16.

As you walk through the gallery, enjoy the calmness of sitting by the sea on a beautiful summer’s day, dawn at Scituate Light, the changing light on Weir River, or smell the salt air coated with fog and see the changes that the environment causes in a painting.

“My goal is to evoke in the viewer a feeling of peaceful harmony and balance while revealing a moment in time and place,” Foley says. “I find watercolor, with all the subtle atmospheric impressions, to be my preferred medium.”

His award-winning paintings have been exhibited in many juried shows, including the Scituate Arts Association, the All-New England Open, the Hull Artists regional show, and the Hull Lifesaving Museum exhibit. Many of his works are in private collections.

The Front Street Art Gallery is located at 124 Front Street in Scituate Harbor. Visit in person or online at frontstreetartgallery.com.
